Pedro Resto is Professor in the IE Department and serves as lead for the UPR-M Model Factory manufacturing activities. He also serves as director of UPR-M's Office of Continuous Improvement and Assessment and facilitator in strategic planning and deployment for the Campus. He spent over ten years in Hewlett-Packard's Computer Systems and Inkjet cartridge manufacturing. He also spent over four years at North Carolina State University, contributing in NCSU's support of the state's small and medium-size manufacturing companies. His current interests include methodologies for new product and technology development, interdisciplinary entrepreneurship initiatives, and support of local industry towards operational excellence.
