To be the best alternative for the Hispanic bilingual community in: forming professionals of excellence in Industrial Engineering and related areas through an innovative educational curricula and real life learning experiences; providing leading outreach and technology transfer activities taking advantage of the unique industrial concentration existing in Puerto Rico; and, performing research in line with the operational excellence and innovation needs of its industrial, government, and service partners.

Serve society by preparing excellent Industrial Engineering professionals capable of critical thinking through a curriculum that is responsive to current and future needs, and by performing scientific and applied research that expands the local economy, increases the capabilities of the global manufacturing and service sectors, and improves the state of published knowledge of the profession.
