The Statistician supports the Puerto Rico Manufacturing site (CONFIDENTIAL) and the Statistical Services team by providing statistical analysis and interpretation of in-process testing datasets, executing sampling and data analysis strategies and documenting finds and presenting results in support of Operational quality and R&D decision making, analyses, investigations and improvements.
Bachelor degree in statistics, mathematics or related field. Masters and or PHD degree in statistics preferred. 3-5 years relevant work experience. Proficiency in Excel, Access or similar database and Minitab. 3 or more years experience in statistical analysis of pharmaceutical data preferred. Experience in solid dose manufacturing environment.
Major Accountabilities • Develop statistical methods and programs, analyze data and write statistical reports to achieve objectives within given timelines. • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of validation strategies and supporting rationale, sampling plans and analyses tools. • Lead or assist in data analysis for investigations and other purposes as required. • Assist in refining quality systems analysis such as annual product review and QC data trending. • Document findings, author reports and regulatory documents. • Work closely and in collaboration with R&D, Operations, Quality and other functional groups to promote, align and ensure the success implementation and utilization of common statistical methodologies and tools. • Understands company goals and objectives and applies them when resolving a variety of problems. • Uses judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions.
